Forget hours under the tree, screwing until your fingers are raw, and then it doesn't really hold it that good anyway. This stand takes about 3 minutes to set up, plop you tree and you are set. It's not tipping over. $40 sounds kinda pricey, but it is worth every penny and the last one you will ever buy, unless you buy them as gifts for your friends because you like it so much.Omega Christmas Tree Stand
