(More customer reviews)The sword is really neat - the blade is 7 1/4" long and the handle is of decent size to have a good grip on (4 3/8").
It's heavy, so it may be a sign of good quality. The decor is neat as well; the metal ornaments are some sort of brass-quality, and the ornament on the blade are some sort of paint, not engraves or acid marks.
So the reason for getting 4/5 marks is because not I'm not quite sure how well the colour of the metal brass decor and the blade paintings will last from gripping on it and sliding through envelopes (guess they didn't think of than when they were making it). The blade had several small scratches as well, which seemed to have occurred when sharpening the blade. I'm not quite sure whether the friction from getting the sword in and out of its casing will scratch the blade as well.
But if you just want it for an ornament on your desk, its nice and will call attention, everybody will feel compelled to touch it and grab it :)
