I am sure it is some sort of resin but almost gives the impression of an old wood carved ornament. The face is delightfully delicate. A wonderful addition to our tree. The Jim Shore Heartwood Creek Crescent Moon Santa with Bell Hanging Ornament, 3-3/4 Inches was just a great.
