(More customer reviews)I just received this item and am so excited! (Incidentally, Ari's Treasures shipped it, and the packaging was fabulous. Very well protected.) The statue is simply adorable. The cats are 4.5 inches tall, as promised, but are larger than I expected from the photo. I especially love the male cat's big, grey eyes and the realistic expression on his face.
The collars, which are hand painted and accented with multicolored crystals, are just charming. The crystals are beautifully cut and are of high quality. I feel they make the piece unique and charming. (I was worried they would look like cheap rhinestones, but they are really very pretty.)
Also, this price is excellent! The statue is listed at a much higher price on the Lenox website. (I paid less for the cats, including my shipping and handling, than the list price on the Lenox site!!)
My one complaint is that the statues don't have the feel of porcelain that I have previously experienced. I believe this is due to the glaze that Lenox used.
Nonetheless, I am thrilled with my purchase! They come with certificates of authenticity and in their original packaging. (Also, you can register your cats with Lenox and take advantage of their lifetime breakage replacement program should anything happen to your kitties.)
