(More customer reviews)I bought this chess set for my 12 year old who enjoys playing chess. The craftmanship of the board is very impressive and the coloring of the wood is very nice (not cheap looking at all). The drawer is big enough to hold all the pieces and comes with a bag to put them in. I am not a chess player so I cannot comment on the weight of the pieces or the size of the playing area but there were several adults that also played with the set on Christmas Day and all commented on the set being very nice. I think it was a perfect gift and would highly recommend this set.
