(More customer reviews)I bought this set about a year ago to learn from until I made my own set. It's a simple set, made of cobalt-colored glass stones with a flat bottom and gold paint, that comes in a simple velvet bag with a drawstring.
The paint, however, doesn't have any kind of sealer (or if it does, there's not much), as the paint can wear off fairly easily, rendering them useless. If taken well care of, they are good for learning from or occasional use, but for heavier use or exposure to harsher surfaces (ie - not the bag or a reading surface; such as carrying one around for a spell), runestaves with a more robust means of engraving (such as carved wood or stone) would probably work better.
