(More customer reviews)A young boy in Hawaii dreams of being able to work with his father as a cowboy. He is thrilled when he is invited to ride with the other cowboys or paniolo during a roundup. Ka'imi dreams of roping a bull and making his father very proud. During the roundup, Ka'imi is a bit discouraged when he is only allowed to ride along. However, he proves that he is worthy of being called a paniolo and becomes the hero of the story. Although the Hawaiian words can be a real challenge to pronounce, this is a good story (especially for little ones who may dream of being a cowboy someday) and the book is well illustrated. Very nice!
