(More customer reviews)This sculpture is a perfect example of classical art, exemplifying the dynamic joy of flight. As a pilot, I had to have it. I think that it satisfies my expectations in that the piece is beautiful, nicely detailed, and only slightly smaller than I thought it would be. But it's right there in the ballpark for a decent display size. I thought it would be a resin or plastic material, but that is not what it is made of. It feels and sounds like plaster of paris, or some similar plaster formula. It's not completely dry, being slightly damp still, and it has a smell similar to drywall mud, if you know what that's like. I'm sure that will fade in time, and that I will enjoy displaying this sculpture for years to come, but as it seems to be a form of plaster I will be sure to be careful with it.
