(More customer reviews)We have a "home-made" stone fireplace, with a slab type mantle. The surface isn't very wide, and the lip on the mantle doesn't protrude out very far. Stocking holders that sit on top of the mantle do not work, and with space constraint a floor stocking stand doesn't work. I found these here and thought I would give them a try.
When I opened them I was very skeptical, because they were bigger than I had thought and I did not think they would work with our small mantle lip. I almost didn't even try, but I am glad I did. They work anyway. The weight of the stocking and the way the hook sits on the mantle works perfectly, even with the issues my fireplace has. I have no fear that once the stockings are full they will fall off the mantle. I am very happy to have purchased these, and recommend them to anyone. They are very pretty, very sturdy, do not bend easily and even if you don't think they would work, they will surprise you.
